The Live Oak Cohort
January–June 2027
Six professionals beginning their next chapter
You know something has to change. You just don't know what comes next.
The Live Oak Cohort is a six-month coaching cohort for leaders, executives, founders, and creators at a threshold in their work. It’s designed for people with ADHD. You leave with a clear sense of what comes next and a plan for getting there. It includes:
Twelve virtual one-on-one coaching sessions
Monthly 75-minute group sessions
Full-day closing retreat near Austin
What is included?
January to June 2027. Twelve one-on-one sessions. Six group sessions. One day away together.
About three hours a month, plus the retreat day. Designed for full calendars.
-
Twelve sessions, twice a month, by video
-
Six group sessions, one each month, by video
-
One full day in person near Austin, venue and lunch included.
-
A place in the community of everyone who has finished the cohort.
Six Months. Six Themes.
Each month, we’ll have a card and a question to explore together. You don’t need to know anything about tarot. Think of the card as a picture and a prompt for that month’s group session. We’ll use it as a starting point for reflection, inspiration, and creativity.

Our Process
Grounded in Practice
I bring 16 years of experience across education, curriculum design, human development, learning, and somatic practice. That expertise informs how I work, but coaching asks me not to position myself as the expert on someone else’s life. My role is to create the conditions for people to think more clearly, notice what they may be missing, explore what is true for them, and make choices with greater awareness and agency. My approach is inherently creative and unusually human blended with rigorous training and experience.
Open but not required practices
My coaching draws on my training in Presence-Based Coaching, the ICF core competencies, and years of work with yoga and somatic practices. In our community sessions, that might look like simple practices such as breath, movement, noticing what your body is telling you, or writing.
Each cohort and retreat also draws on my background in Curriculum Instruction & Design (M.Ed.) and community and family yoga (RYT 500, YACEP, E-RYT 200, RPYT).
Tarot is a reflection tool here. It starts a conversation; it doesn't predict anything. Every practice is optional, and I'll always tell you what we're doing and why.
Coaching with a code
Coaching is a profession and I take that seriously.
As an ICF-credentialed coach (ACC), I’ve completed professional coach training, demonstrated coaching experience, and committed to the ethical standards and core competencies of the International Coaching Federation.
The ICF credential provides a professional and ethical foundation for that work. My experience and other training shape how I practice within it.
After the cohort
When your six months in Live Oak come to an end, you don't simply leave the cohort. You join The Grove, the ongoing community of everyone who has completed Live Oak.
One tree becomes many, with a shared root system. The Grove is where those connections continue to grow: a place to stay in relationship, keep learning, share what you're navigating, and reconnect with people who understand the work from the inside.
Live Oak is the beginning. The Grove is what comes next.
Your Coach
Heather “H. E.” Wong
I’ve coached and consulted since founding my practice in 2014. Alongside that, I’ve spent sixteen years in education and human development, coaching teachers and leading professional learning. I’ve worked with more than 100 clients. I hold an ICF Associate Certified Coach credential, an M.Ed. in curriculum and instructional design, and 500-hour yoga training.
The first thing I bring is presence. I pay attention to the whole person: your goals, how you’re feeling, and what else is going on in your life. My background in curriculum design shapes how this cohort is built, with a clear theme each month and time to practice between sessions.
I’m a sixth-generation Texan and have lived in Austin since 2006.

Q&A
-
That's where most people start.
Some professionals may be working full-time at a job they know they want to leave, but don’t know what is next. Some may be taking a sabbatical, stepping away from work for a while, or simply giving themselves space to figure out what comes next. A six-month container can offer the structure, support, and time to make a more aligned decision, begin living into it, and have a community of people around you who are navigating their own transitions, too.
-
Individual coaching gives you dedicated one-on-one space with me. In my experience, we work best in community and this experience adds a consistent cohort, facilitated group reflection, a full-day retreat, and more opportunities to practice and integrate the work over six months. It’s designed for people who want both individual support and the experience of moving through meaningful change alongside others.
You’ll have individual coaching with me, plus a consistent community of five other professionals from fields like the arts, entrepreneurship, tech, education, healthcare, and academia, each at a threshold in their own work.
Together, you’ll have space to reflect, experiment, and move through change alongside others who are also standing at a threshold.
-
The individual coaching is the primary time commitment. It’s focused on your specific competencies and aligned with ICF standards.
The somatic practices are practical and body-based. Tarot is simply a tool for inspiration, focus, and creativity, and is mostly embedded in the cohort and retreat sessions.
Every somatic and inspirational practice is optional. These are offerings, not requirements. Take what supports you and your development, and leave the rest.
-
You do not have to live in Austin to participate! We’d love to have you join us. The coaching sessions and cohort meetings are designed with busy schedules in mind and will all take place virtually.
Please note that the retreat is designed to be an in-person experience and will take place in the Austin area. We understand that traveling isn’t always possible, so participation in the retreat is completely optional.
-
Individual coaching sessions can be rescheduled with advance notice, based on shared availability. Cohort sessions are designed as a shared experience, so they are not repeated individually if you miss one. The retreat is a group-favorite and important part of the community experience, but completely optional if you are unable to attend.
-
Yes. The cohort is designed with ADHD in mind, and that inclusive design works for anyone. Clear structure, regular check-ins, and room to work at your own pace help most people make progress on big decisions. You don't need a diagnosis to apply. If you're at a threshold in your work and want support figuring out what comes next, this cohort is for you.
-
Fit matters. That’s why we have a formal application and a deeper goal-setting session before the cohort begins. We’ll also have opportunities throughout the six months to check in about how the coaching and cohort experience are working for you.
Because this is a six-month commitment and space is limited, payments are non-refundable once the cohort begins. If something changes before the cohort starts, reach out and we can talk through your options.
-
No. Coaching and therapy are different professional relationships with different purposes and scopes. Coaching focuses on your present and future goals, awareness, choices, and the changes you want to make in your life and work.
Some clients describe coaching as feeling “therapeutic” because having dedicated space to slow down, reflect, and be witnessed can be deeply supportive. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment.
If something comes up that falls outside the scope of coaching, we can talk about what kind of support might be most helpful. When appropriate, I can also help you identify a therapist or other qualified professional.
For more information, see the ICF Guide to Referring a Client to Therapy and the ICF Code of Ethics.
-
We’ll identify what you want from coaching before we begin the first session and use that as a starting point for our work together. We’ll formally revisit your goals at the midpoint and again at the end of our coaching relationship.
During sessions, we make space to notice what has shifted and what you’ve learned along the way. From beginning to end, we’ll regularly pause to notice and name your progress. What has changed will be reflected in your own words, grounded in what you said you wanted when we began.
-
The coaching and cohort are designed for full schedules and take place primarily online. The retreat is designed to be an in-person experience in Austin.
You don’t need to live in Austin—or even in Texas—to be part of the cohort. We welcome people from wherever they are. If you’re joining us from outside the area, you’ll just want to plan for your own travel and lodging for the in-person retreat. And if traveling to Austin isn’t in your budget, that’s completely okay. The retreat is an invitation, not a requirement for participating in the rest of the experience.

Early bird (through November 27)
$3,700 paid in full
$3,900 in six monthly payments of $650
Standard
$4,500 paid in full
$4,800 in six monthly payments of $800
How payment works
Pay a $200 deposit to book your goal-setting session. The deposit is non-refundable.
If you decide to join after that session, sign the agreement. Your $200 counts toward your total.
Pay the rest in full, or start your monthly payments. Your first monthly payment is $200 less.
Your investment includes:
A goal-setting session (60 minutes, virtual)
12 one-on-one coaching sessions (60 minutes, virtual)
6 group sessions with your cohort (75 minutes, virtual)
A full-day, in-person retreat in the Austin area
Support between sessions: email support/access and 15-minute check-ins by request
I use my coaching training and my background in curriculum and learning design to connect the elements in this cohort. You get an intentional way to reflect with your coach, practice with support, and work alongside the same small group for six months.
For comparison, my base coaching rates start at $250 an hour, and my engagements range from $3,000 to $10,000 depending on scope. Bought separately, everything in the cohort would cost about $2,500 more.
Reduced-rate seats
Two seats are held at a reduced rate for people who may not otherwise have access to coaching because of financial, professional, caregiving, or other systemic barriers. This may include caregivers, educators, artists, nonprofit leaders, and others whose circumstances or identities have limited their access to professional development and support.
If a reduced-rate seat would make this possible for you, say so in your application. You don’t need to explain or prove your circumstances.
-
The cohort is intentionally a small group of up to six people and ideally needs at least three to run. If fewer than three have enrolled by December 31, 2026, you choose one of two options:
Move into six months of one-on-one coaching with me at your cohort price. That’s $200 to $1,300 less than my standard six-month rate of $5,000.
Continue with a smaller Live Oak Cohort, if everyone enrolled agrees.*
*If anyone chooses one-on-one coaching, everyone moves into one-on-one coaching. Your deposit applies to either option.
Application
Please complete the application to be considered for the upcoming cohort. These questions help me understand where you are and whether this group is a good fit. There are no wrong answers. I read every application myself.
This will take about ten minutes. Cohort is limited to six individuals. This is intentional, so we can have more depth as a group. Applications close December 20, 2026.
The investment is $4,800, with the option to pay in six monthly payments of $800. Pay in full and the investment is $4,500.
Both options require a one-time, non-refundable $200 deposit. This deposit also covers your required goal-setting session before the cohort begins.
I believe in making experiences accessible and inclusive while also honoring the expertise, care, and value that go into creating them. This pricing reflects the depth of the content, structure, and support included in the experience. I’m not interested in charging more simply because I can. I want the investment to feel thoughtful, fair, and aligned with the value of what I’m offering.
Covers all private coaching, group sessions, and the retreat day, including the venue and lunch.
Two seats are reserved at a reduced rate for people who may not otherwise have access to coaching because of financial, professional, caregiving, or other systemic barriers. This may include caregivers, educators, nonprofit leaders, and others whose circumstances or identities have historically limited access to professional development and support.
If a reduced-rate seat would make this experience more accessible to you, please indicate that in your application. You do not need to justify or prove your circumstances.
Six months. Six professional. Your next chapter starts here.
Applications close December 20th. I read every application myself and reply within three business days.
