About H. E. Wong: Strategy as Relational Practice

I’m H. E. Wong (she/they)—an ICF-credentialed coach (ACC), systemic change facilitator, and longtime advocate for sustainable, equitable growth rooted in human dignity and collective care. I’m also a neurodivergent, queer parent of two, and my coaching practice shifted in a fundamental way when I became a parent inside systems that were never designed for me—or my family—to thrive.

That lived experience sharpened what I had already learned through years of work in public education and not-for-profit advocacy: that systems don’t change through pressure or performance alone. They change when people feel regulated, resourced, and supported in relationship. For over 15 years, I’ve worked in complex, high-stakes environments—not simply in formal roles, but alongside people navigating real constraints, competing demands, and deep care for their communities. Early in my career, I learned that organizational health is inseparable from human and relational health, and that insight continues to guide my work today.

My practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful change emerges from clarity rather than control. Whether co-founding a citywide advocacy effort, supporting school communities through periods of transition, or facilitating immersive retreats and learning spaces, my purpose has remained consistent: to help individuals and groups find steadiness, discernment, and alignment so they can move forward with integrity and sustain themselves over time.

I partner with people and communities to build capacity for change—starting right where they are, with what is already present and possible.

My Philosophy: The Three Pillars of Sustainable Growth

My methodology is rooted in the belief that external organizational success is directly tied to internal human clarity that only comes from presence. I don't provide quick fixes; I build capacity for enduring transformation.

My practice is founded on three integrated pillars:

1. Presence: The Foundation of Leadership

Before action comes awareness. I utilize neuroscience-informed and somatic practices to help leaders and teams regulate the nervous system, interrupt reactive patterns, and access deep insight. Presence is the foundation that allows you to pause, reflect, and make strategic choices rather than default to old habits.

  • Value to You: Reduced burnout, greater focus, and the ability to lead effectively in complexity and crisis.

2. Reflection: The Engine of Equity

True organizational growth requires honest inquiry. I facilitate rigorous, equity-centered reflection—on individual values, team dynamics, and systemic structures—to clarify misalignment. This process illuminates the barriers to equitable performance and informs intentional strategy.

  • Value to You: Clarity on organizational blind spots, alignment of internal values with external action, and a clear roadmap for systemic, equitable change.

3. Action: The Path to Sustainability

Reflection without execution is simply theory. I partner with you to translate insight into concrete, measurable steps, designing effective learning curricula, refining governance models, and establishing clear accountability systems. This phase integrates strategic planning with operational implementation.

  • Value to You: Sustainable infrastructure, high-impact talent development, and the capacity to execute strategy with integrity and purpose.
